Donald J. Trump se proclamó vencedor frente a Kamala Harris en la carrera para convertirse en el 47º presidente de Estados Unidos. El presidente electo republicano, ganó con unas elecciones "arrolladoras", subrayando un giro a la derecha dentro de la población estadounidense. El Partido Republicano también se aseguró la mayoría en el Senado con 52 escaños confirmados (los demócratas con 45 escaños confirmados). A fecha de hoy, la Cámara de Representantes de Estados Unidos aún no ha sido confirmada para ninguno de los dos partidos.
