Investors await comments from the Federal Reserve and key economic data such as Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) in this holiday-shortened week.

The economy grew faster than expected in Q4 2023, driven by strong consumer spending and business investment. GDP increased to 3.4%, revised up from the previously announced 3.2%. The S&P 500 had the best start to the year since 2019 and advanced 10.55% in the first quarter and closed setting a new record high.
