El Banco Central Europeo, BCE, decidió subir sus tipos de interés en 50 puntos básicos, la primera subida desde hace 11 años, al tiempo que aprobó un nuevo instrumento ilimitado que le permite frenar las primas de riesgos de algunos países comprando su deuda soberana. El BCE busca contener la inflación en la Eurozona, que se disparó en junio hasta el 8,6%, y para ello necesita subir los tipos de interés. No obstante, incluso antes de comenzar a subir el precio del dinero, ya se estaban disparando las primas de riesgo de los países más endeudados.
